Simple Present Tense 一般现在时态

The Simple Present Tense is used:

(i) when we want to show a fact or truth.

表示一个事实。

Examples:

A dog barks.

The sun gives us heat and light.

(ii) for actions that are done often or regularly. Therefore, words and phrases like ‘often’, ‘usually’, ‘every day’, ‘every month’, ‘always’, ‘sometimes’, ‘frequently’, etc. are often used in sentences which are written in the simple present tense.

表示经常或按时进行的行动。因此，‘often （常常)’、‘usually）(通常)’、‘every day (每天)’、 ‘every month（每个月）’、‘always （每次）’、‘sometimes’（有时候）、‘frequently (经常)’等字和词组常常用在现在时态的句子里。
